Condors in the Colca Canyon
Seeing the condors at the Colca Canyon near Arequipa (Peru) was one of the most amazing things in 2007. Note that these pictures where taken with a Canon IXUS 400 (Power Shoot in America) with a 4xZoom, now you can imagine how close these birdies were ;)
The place is called Colca Canyon, it can be reached quite easily from Arequipa of the biggest towns of Peru. As you can guess it is part of the usual tourist tours there and I can highly recommend it.
